Ruoyu Zhang is a Shanghai-born cinematographer passionate about crafting visually striking narratives. With an MFA from Florida State University, her work spans horror and drama, exploring themes of identity, immigration, and LGBTQ+ experiences.

Inspired by her love of supernatural lore and her own journey as an immigrant and bisexual artist, Ruoyu Zhang has lensed award-winning films such as AliEN and Recipient. A former musician and avid storyteller, she blends her artistic background with a unique perspective to create bold, evocative stories that resonate with audiences worldwide.
